If you have purchased a horse from another owner, then it takes some effort to get the horse used to with its new home. This is a very common and vital problem. As human beings it takes us sometime and effort to get used to with new surroundings. And when it comes to horses, it is even more difficult. To overcome this difficulty, you need to develop a very strong bond with your horse. There are different types of bonding techniques available from which you can choose one get started with the process as soon as possible.
Many horses become violent and sometimes even attack during the feeding time. This mainly happens due to lack of training. In order to deal with this problem, you can change the feeding location of your horse. In most cases, horses are fed in cramped stalls. But instead you can take the horse to an open field for feeding. Whipping the horse is not going to help to solve the problem. So avoid doing that.
And finally another problem people faces with their horse is, often they refuse to move forward. This happens when it is brought to a new place. Many people mistakenly think that the horse is stubborn. But the fact is, horses never become stubborn. It is just sometimes they get confused and stops moving forward. There are two ways to solve this problem. At first, you can try taking him out behind another horse that is familiar with the area. If this doesn’t solve the problem then take him out to a particular place over and over until it gets familiar with that place. Eventually you will find the horse moving forward on trail.
